This week is overflowing with new units as well as some new animations for Wither that we’ve been brewing. We hope you enjoy the new flavor! At the end of the day though, we know it always boils down to the cards, for which we have 177 changes! Have it while it’s hot πŸ₯£

  • We added a new Feedback form to the options/settings menu. To help make us aware of any good/bad moments you experience (like pesky bugs). We will continue to improve this feature in the coming months!

  • Five new units added to the game including Chester, Casket, Xero, Homebrew, and Toll Bell! Try to guess which name belongs to who!

Cards

A sizable balance patch, using the closed beta time while we have it. Swapping some effects around for better thematic matches. Heart has been weak. Some changes omitted, such as template or name only.

Hush - Give target unit Silence.

Demon Pact - Kill ally units. Summon The Beast.

Grave Omen - Dust your top dead unit to give target unit -3/-3.

Steel Shield -

Jacko - Death: Both players draw a low-cost dark spell onto their hero.

Bit - Sunrise: Swaps power and health.

Spiderella - Glory: Give the enemy hero Dazed.

Grime - Glory: Give enemy units -1 Power.

Volcanic Blast - Dust the top three cards of both graves to do 3 Damage to each unit. Give units Flames if fire was dusted.

Fury Mask - Your hero fights target unit. If lethal, give ally units +1 Power.

Extinction Event - Do damage to each unit equal to its cost.

Enfuego - Your fire and light spells do 1 Damage more.

Chester - Death: Draw two spells.

Casket - Death: Draw a unit. Give it Fate and reveal it. Trigger its death effects.

Xero - Death: Dust the enemy's top two dead cards.

Homebrew - Summon & Death: Both players draw a 1 cost card.

Testing another adjacency mechanic. I don't want too much of it, as I prefer focusing on which unit to play over where to place it. However, the natural order of units - other/stealth/hero/guard - may create some healthy adjacency design space.


Mootichi (670)

Reworked to be less of a lock-out. (Spiderella got the old effect, up the curve.)

The nerfs to 0c cards will continue until morale improves. I'm not sure if Seer's Mask will survive as a playable card, but this nerfed version will likely show up more as an attachment.

Griff Scout (285)
